Pince Nez and a Big Mustache (Teddy Roosevelt)

A silly song about Theodore Roosevelt and John Muir starting the National Parks. Pince Nez sounds like Prince without the "r" and "Nay". Pince Nez are spectacles that do not have sides, and pinch over the nose.

Poison Ivy

A silly song about poison ivy. A little bit of science, a little bit of fun!

Pop Up, Prairie Dog!

A song written when I first saw prairie dogs with my kiddos in South Dakota. They pop out of holes and signal each other , with an intricate system of rooms and tunnels below the ground.

Rain, Rain come out and Play

A tidy-up song. My grandmother used to say "A place for everything and everything in its place and "Put away, not down". This song highlights that concept while also indicating that we care for things so they can be found. Social emotional learning, with self-regulation, responsible choices, and thinking forward. I love to sing this song when kiddos are just coming in the house or when they are starting to put something down in a random place. Invite children to put away, not down during expectation setting at the beginning part of the transition cycle.

Reading Makes Fairy Dust

A song about reading making fairy dust!

Pirate Ship O'Hay

A silly song about a pirate ship make of hay. Written during a gig at Acokeek National Park, this song is just about pretend and silly.

Pokey, Pokey Porcupine

Little ditty about a porcupine!

Put Away, not Down

Rainbow in the Sky

Just a little ditty about rainbows
