A tender ditty to use with infants in lap to engage them with touch. This is a repetitive song that pairs the names of face parts with the part caregiver is tenderly touching. The repetition helps instill words that pair with the part. Touch helps to increase sensory awareness and connection and the pattern of touch helps to provide opportunity for familiarity and prediction. It is recommended to introduce this to a child when they are peaceful, when caregiver can give full attention to look at baby's face. Later, the word "Nose", when said long, can cue the anticipated touch and say connection and even calm the child knowing that the caregiver will connect.
